Every girl has her travel tote for summer. It should be your home away from home.
Here are my essentials for a fun summer day!

1. A book, like this one by Kelly Cutrone, is a necessity when on vacation, and it should be something that is stimulating. Vacation is a great place to find new inspiration, and a great book can help with that! 2. An eye mask is an absolute must! It’s an easy way to block out any unfortunate or unpleasant surroundings. 3. When sightseeing, ditch the iPhone for a real camera (remember those?), it will stay charged longer. 4. Neutral nails are the best option for vacation, as they are easy to touch up on your own. 5. Baby wipes are the key to staying fresh throughout the day. 6. Liquid Oxygen is a great “legal” pick me up. 7. It is always important to have a swimsuit on hand for unexpected ventures to the beach. Why spend money on something you already have back in the hotel room?

1. Flats are a necessity if walking will be involved in your day.You can always keep a pair tucked in your bag in case heels become a burden. 2. A messenger style bag is great to have so you can ditch that tote, not to mention it transitions into evening. 3. It goes without saying, but sunglasses are a necessity! 4. Keep a scarf on hand, because you will never know when the weather will take a turn. It’s also a great way to transition your outfit into evening. 5. A journal is the key to remembering your trip, so write things down as your see or do them so nothing is forgotten.

Beauty Basics.
1. Neutral nail polish so you can easily touch up your manicure, no need to be ambidextrous. 2. Liquid Oxygen for a quick pick me up. 3. If your excursion involves you being in the sun at all, sunscreen is an absolute must. No ifs ands or buts! 4. To spruce up your outfit quickly, keep a lint roller handy. 5. Blotting papers keep your make-up looking fresh. 6. Eye make-up remover and 7. Q-tips clean up eye make-up easily when it has smudged. 8. A hair tie can bring your look from beach bound to dinner date in ten seconds.
